This polyurethane Gear Shift Stabiliser Bush replaces the soft, worn factory rubber bush at the end of the main stabiliser arm (the one that bolts directly to the gearbox).
Check the reference photos – if you’re still running the original bush, chances are it’s cracked, perished, or sloppy by now.

Most GTI-R stabiliser bushes are over 30 years old. When they wear out, the whole shifter assembly gains play, causing:

• Vague or notchy shifts

• Excess movement under load

• Reduced accuracy when selecting gears
